We were in town for the MN State baseball subsection playoffs. Our first choice was the Railhouse grill but it was closed that day. I heard this was a close second so we gave it a try. The service was slow especially given the few people inside. But that ends the bad marks. The burger and fries were served as ordered and piping hot. Not a bad second choice and worth a try if you are in downtown.

In town for Business and wanted a nice sit down supper. Not only was the staff friendly , the food was amazing! I had the steak philly and probably one of the best ones I've had. I would definitely go back!

Good Walleye fingers, but bar staff were not willing to play the biggest soccer match of the year on just one of their 4 TVs. I recommend going to Railhouse instead!

Cheese curds were fantastic, service was pretty decent, prices were reasonable but maybe a touch on the high side, not outlandish though. I ordered a steak which came out decent, proper cook on it, though lacking some in the flavor category. For a side I went with the potatoes au gratin, which had more flavor but only due to the abundance of oil from all the cheese. All-in-all I'd come back and give Port 104 a second chance, if only for the cheese curds!

I was on a day trip with my son this afternoon and decided to stop in. I got the kids burger for my son and I had the port burger with fries. The server asked how I'd like my burger and I responded "medium" (yea right, like I'll actually get a medium burger). Both our burgers came and they were both way over cooked and dry as a dog turd in the summer Sun. I notified the server about the burger and asked for a new one, this time with very light seasoning, the first was way too salty. The second burger came back just as salty and just as dry. 1 star for the nice server.

I stopped for lunch, on Sunday, and tried the " hot roast beef", Well it was a real surprise , the beef came shredded in a clump, with some kind of dehydrated mashed potatoes, with a brown salty gravy... Made from beef concentrate, corn strach, and water.... The kind you get in school lunch.... Then it had 4 pieces of buttered toast.. Really what a bad idea on an old "blue plate special!!" It was a 2 star event, and I'm being kind for $9.00...! I recommend avoiding this kitchen, go to the Rail House for some pretty good food!

We ate here recently, and I must say it was really disappointing. I hadn't eaten here since before it was remodeled. I will say that it is very clean, but removing the walls between the dining area and bowling alley was probably not a great idea. Now, regarding the food, our meal was lousy. I ordered meatloaf, thinking how moist and flavorful it would be. It was not. The meatloaf reminded me of the Salisbury steak TV dinners we had when I was a kid. It was dry and tasteless. The corn for some reason was seasoned with oregano -- I have no idea why. The cream of mushroom soup was watery and tasted as if the kitchen simply took some Campbell's soup and added chopped mushrooms to it. The fried cod was acceptable but not very good. The broiled cod was over-cooked, rubbery, and seasoned with oregano -- again, I have no idea why. For a legitimate restaurant, the food was not acceptable. Honestly, it reminded me of food you may get at a school cafeteria. For a small town, the prices were not cheap, and charging for each drink refill does not make their food good down any easier.

Actually the one star is because the waitress was at are table as soon as we sat down. However we ordered a appetizer. After waiting 20 to 25 minutes with no food coming we left money on the table for or drinks and left! Not a good experience!

We are in from out of town and there just wasn't many places to choose from. The beer battered chicken tenders were great. The place is nice and clean and the waitress was friendly. It was pricey but everything we had tasted great. Better than I had expected.

The environment was comfortable. The meatloaf dinner had two pieces of bread along with meat and potatos. Take away 1 slice of bread and add some vegetables to round out the meal... tast was average.

The best thing I can say about Port 104 is that the servers are friendly and attentive. By far, our server was the most impressive element of our lunch. Wifey had the Nachos, which were merely "okay, nothing to write home about". She noted that instead of shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled on top, they used the dreaded "cheese sauce" that you find at the county fair. I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad, which was also merely "ok". The Romaine lettuce was limp and soaked with Caesar dressing. But the flavor of the dressing itself was good. The chicken and croutons were also decent. Again, not terrible, but not "delicious". Beware if you go at a busy time like lunch time. The food took a long time to arrive at our table after ordering. It was close to 35 minutes. This is perhaps an unfair review because we've only eaten here once, but we don't see any compelling reason to come back for a second visit.

Came in for the first time tonight after a round of golf at Frontenac. We usually go to Skyline on Pepin but found out as we tried to walk in thew doors it was closed down. Impressive menu, many different yummy sounding options. I got the hand battered cod dinner, 3 BIG pieces of fish perfectly cooked, and a nice pile of onion rings. In house made tarter sauce was really good. My friend got the walleye dinner, he said it wasn't as good as the walleye at Skyline but it was moist and tasted good. We got an order of cheese curds, and I must say they were probably the best curds I've ever had, perfectly cooked with a ton of flavor in the cheese, and the home made ranch sauce went really well with them. The only complaint, if you can even call it that, was when i got my check they charged me a 5.50 upcharge on the onion rings. On all the burgers and sandwiches they charged an extra 1.50$ for rings, but as soon as I pointed this out to the bartender who was very friendly he took care of it right away. Pretty sure this is the new go to place every time after golfing at Frontenac. Next time I want to try out the 6 lane bowling alley.
